It’s a good week to go outside.
Chicago’s recent kick of cool, comfortable weather will continue over the next few days. Light clouds and sun are expected, accompanied by daytime high temperatures around 80 degrees, with nighttime lows near 60 degrees throughout the week.

“It’s going to be a very dry week, very quiet, (and) at least in my opinion, very pleasant temperatures,” said Kevin Doom, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service meteorologist.
The city isn’t expected to get any rain until the later part of Friday, the meteorologist said. “And even that’s just inconsistent, maybe a 30% chance or so,” Doom added.

“At least through the workweek, it’s going to be real nice,” Doom said.
Afternoon breezes forecast for Tuesday likely will contribute to high waves and create unsafe swimming conditions in southern Lake Michigan, according to the weather service. The expectation of 20 to 25 mph winds prompted a warning about dangerous swimming conditions.
The wind speed should decrease in coming days, and swimming conditions are expected to improve, Doom said.
“But other than that, nothing to really worry about for the rest of the week,” he said.
