Naperville police are investigating an armed robbery Tuesday night outside a fitness center near 75th Street and Route 59 on the city’s south side near the border with Aurora.
Police said officers were dispatched to XSport Fitness in the 2700 block of Fitness Drive about 9:15 p.m. for a report of an masked man with a knife who allegedly approached a person in a parking lot and demanded cash and personal items, which he took.

The masked man fled, and no one was injured, according to police.
Naperville officers, with help from the Aurora Police Department, used police dogs and drones to search for the man, but were unable to locate him, according to authorities.

The man is described as 5-foot-7-inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, mask and sweatpants.
