“A big one for me, and this is always going to be something, is refining my routine and preparation,” Giolito said of his lessons learned. “There were a couple (of) starts that you’d consider blowup starts that I had, especially early in the season, where I look back on those and I think, ‘Man, that was very avoidable.’ If I had just put that little bit of extra effort into my preparation in the days leading up … I can be a lot more consistent pitcher.
