“The coolest thing that I saw is the group were always staying together, always trying,” Bote said Sunday. “It was really encouraging to see a group that when we were struggling there for a couple of weeks everybody in the clubhouse was like, ‘Hey, let’s find a way to win today.’ It didn’t go our way in a lot of ways, but the group that was out there grinding for nine innings, it was really encouraging to watch. It was kind of like uplifting to me.
