What went wrong? More catch-and-shoot opportunities means White has played off the ball more frequently. That shouldn’t be a complete indictment of his future as a lead guard, rather an acknowledgement by the Bulls that White, who turned 21 in February, is still a work in progress. He’s not there yet, but he’s still only started 35 games in his NBA career. So, it seems likely there will be more ups-and-downs for White in the second half, especially since the Bulls are willing to live with the growing pains. We’ll see at the end of the year if there’s been more positive than negative.
