US appellate court denies full hearing in record $45 million CPD shooting case

The Law Department has a long and troubled history with the case. After arguing for nearly a decade that LaPorta shot himself in a botched suicide attempt, city attorneys now say Kelly pulled the trigger and lied about it for years.
