The $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package the U.S. Senate approved along party lines over the weekend now moves to the House, which is expected to OK it and send it to President Joe Biden for a final signature. Billions in aid will be disbursed to state and local governments, schools and social service. Illinois will get about $7.2 billion, Chicago will get about $1.8 billion while another $4 billion will go to other local governments across the state, according to numbers released by Illinois’ senior Sen. Dick Durbin’s office. Most Americans are in line to get $1,400 checks.
