Suspect sought after Madison police officer fires on armed man following shooting at homeless shelter

Officers heard gunshots inside the building and confronted an armed man inside, according to DOJ. One officer fired their weapon, but did not hit anyone. A man initially detained at the scene was later determined not to be involved in the shooting, police said.
