The bill creates an expedited process that would allow Westlake to potentially reopen more quickly than through the normal process for reopening a hospital. At least one potential buyer is interested in the hospital, Andrew Mack, a spokesman for Melrose Park, confirmed Tuesday. Mack was not able to share any additional information about the potential buyer.
