Last April, family members of Thomas E. Johnson, 69, and Leslie Ann Jones, 67, had become concerned after not hearing from the couple for a few days. On the evening of April 13, 2020, a family friend was asked to visit the home in the 500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue for a well-being check. After opening the unlocked front door to the three-story, 4,000 square-foot home, the family friend found the bodies of Jones and Johnson inside.
