“The grieving family and members of the public get to see this video, this portion of the incident, and in many ways it raises more questions for them than it answers,” said Ald. Roberto Maldonado, 26th. “For working-class communities of color that are typically the victims in these police shootings, the video creates even more uncertainty about who’s to blame. And they have to fill in the blanks. If there’s uncertainty, they’re going to blame the police.”
