In November, with the Bears offense again sputtering, Nagy temporarily shifted the play-calling responsibilities to coordinator Bill Lazor, a change that took root before the team’s Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. At that point, the Bears were averaging 317.8 yards and 19.8 points per game. Over the final seven regular-season contests, those numbers jumped significantly to 348.9 yards and 27.7 points, though there was speculation Nagy reclaimed at least some of the play-calling role at some point in December.
