Yang, 53, who had been involved romantically with Gayle, was found guilty of Reuter’s murder in 2011 in a crime authorities say was motivated by jealousy. However, Yang’s attorney has filed a post-conviction petition seeking to reinvestigate the crime, which Yang says will prove she did not kill Reuter. Yang is asking the court to vacate her conviction, or order a new trial.
