Joshua Farner, 35, of Marion, was charged in a two-count indictment with mailing a letter in April 2016 to the judge in Chicago threatening to assault and murder him. The threat was in retaliation and meant to “impede, intimidate, and interfere with the judge’s official duties,” the charges alleged.
