The pedestrian had been walking on the west side of Racine when she was struck, police said. She was later identified as Lakisel Thomas, 43, of the 1200 block of West 70th Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Police said Thomas was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where she was pronounced dead at 12:13 p.m.
