In February, Collins hosted an online presentation on how the school, with a predominately white student body, is working to create a more “caring environment” for its students while addressing equity and racism. Part of the process has involved the creation of the Students Organized Against Racism group, school equity teams and discussions with students of color on their experiences at Maine South.
