“My first seven years in the big leagues, I had one of the greatest catchers of all time,” Lynn said. “So you kind of did what you were told there. But also, I took a lot from him, and we spoke a lot, Yadi and I did. I learned so much from him by reading hitters, doing things like that, and learning how to communicate with catchers. In between starts, or even during games, talking to catchers, what they’re seeing, what they’re feeling, what they’re noticing the other team’s doing.
