He agreed to plead guilty to murder, serving 45 years, and aggravated battery, a level 5 felony, serving 5 years in prison. Indiana law required both sentences to run consecutively, because Goforth was on bond at the time of the murder, Lake Superior Judge Samuel Cappas said.
