Former Bartlett High School chemistry teacher found guilty of reckless conduct for pouring liquid nitrogen on student during science demonstration

The former teacher was performing a science demonstration in front of the class in May 2018 when, according to prosecutors, he poured liquid nitrogen on a student’s chest and groin area. The chemical caused burn injuries to the student’s groin and finger, according to a statement from the state’s attorney’s office.
