Eisenhower Expressway stretch is ‘most congested US road’ — and Chicago’s traffic gridlock is 3rd worst in the nation, according to new report

The same commute had the eighth worst ranking in 2019 but cost drivers 56 hours of lost time. The rest of the Top 10 most congested U.S. road segments include three in New York City, two in San Francisco, two in Los Angeles and one each in Atlanta and Stamford, Connecticut. Another clogged Chicago corridor, I-90 from the I-90/I-94 Edens Expressway inbound to Western Avenue, ranked 15th in the U.S. for gridlock.
