Lou Malnati and his wife, Jean, opened their first restaurant in 1971 in Lincolnwood. Lou’s son, Marc Malnati, remains active in the business. The chain now has 69 locations, including sites in Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, and Wisconsin. It also ships pizzas to consumers across the country through a mail-order business.
