“Having people who are actually working in schools, who know what those challenges are, is something that’s going to be a little different. … I’m confident that’s going to help us land this a lot sooner, and in a much more pleasant way for everybody,” Jackson said, alluding to the at times fraught back-and-forth between district and union leaders.
