Officials on Wednesday reported 2,410 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19, accounting for a seven-day case average of 2,563, the lowest since an average of 2,411 was reported March 31. Tuesday’s case count resulted from 77,670 tests. But even as other measures of the coronavirus’s spread have been trending downward, the number of COVID-19-related deaths has been increasing recently.
