Beller, 19, a 2020 Valparaiso High School graduate and player on the school’s varsity football team, died after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest late Wednesday night, police said. Valparaiso police were called to the 3700 block of Oakgrove Drive at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a complaint of a disturbance that resulted in the shooting.
