Unlike small rural counties, Lake County Health Department Executive Director Mark Pfister said, the suburbs can’t rely primarily on a single vaccination site. While the number of other health care providers administering vaccines in Lake County has increased to 67, he said, including large employers like Abbott and AbbVie, far more are needed to help out. Most importantly, he said, counties need a stable and ample supply of vaccines.
