“I don’t want to block it, I just want to give the neighbors a chance to get involved, and, I hope, to get excited about the idea,” King said of the Waters museum plan. “Right now, anyone, by right, can just open a museum in the middle of a block of homes in Chicago and start welcoming busloads of visitors. That’s something that people who live on a block probably didn’t sign up for. They should get a chance to learn about it and have their voices heard as part of the process.”
