Early in the pandemic, Blancarte Jr. worked with Community Organized Relief Effort, a humanitarian, nonprofit organization, as part of the Chicago COVID-19 Response leadership team providing community-based testing for the city. He now oversees COVID-19 testing and vaccine distribution with Esperanza Health Centers on Chicago’s Southwest Side.
