Amazon Fresh opens in Bloomingdale, its fourth high-tech grocery store in Illinois

The 40,000-square-foot-store, at 404 Army Trail Road, will include Amazon’s Dash Carts, which use cameras, sensors and scales to ring up items without the need for a checkout line. The stores have terminals outfitted with voice-enabled Alexa, Amazon’s personal assistant technology, to help shoppers find products and offer recipe suggestions.
