A big part of the CTA’s Red-Purple Line project is about to start on Chicago’s North Side. Here’s how it may affect your ride.

The first phase of the project is funded by a combination of grants, federal money, $622 million in Chicago transit tax increment financing and $400 million from CTA. The overall project, including later phases, will rebuild the entire corridor between the Linden station at the north end of the Purple Line and the Red, Purple and Brown line station at Belmont, according to the CTA.
