Shortly after 11 p.m., a 44-year-old man was driving westbound in a SUV in the 600 block of West Marquette Road when he struck an electrical box. causing him to hit a boy who was walking on the sidewalk with his mother and sibling. The SUV came to rest after striking a building, police said.
