The girl, who is not identified because of her age, was arrested after she got out of the vehicle and tried to run from police about 7:50 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Carroll Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said. She was charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm and was expected to appear in juvenile court Tuesday.
